What changes with a battery?
The aim is not to store everything. Energy you need directly during generation does not have to be sent through the battery first.
We size the battery to the home, not to the roof.
Two households with the same PV system may need different capacities. What matters is the daily surplus, evening and night-time consumption, a heat pump, an electric vehicle and the backup requirement.
A battery that is too large may remain underused. One that is too small may not cover your needs. We look for the suitable size based on generation and consumption.
The car and heating do not have to wait for the battery.
If the electric vehicle is at home on a sunny day, it can use the PV system directly. Similarly, part of the generation can be used for heating, hot water or cooling.
A home battery complements these options. It does not have to be the only way your own electricity is used.
Do you also want electricity during an outage?
Backup power must be part of the design. Not every combination of photovoltaics, inverter and battery automatically works without the grid.
